Dua Lipa was born 22nd August 1995 in London United Kingdom. Her debut self-titled album debuted in 2017 after she had been signed by Warner Bros Records. It reached the number three spot at the top of the U.K. album chart, and included eight songs, with the most notable being U.K. number one track New Rules and Be the One I.D.G.A.F. Lipa was awarded the Brit Award in 2018 as British Female Soloist and British Breakthrough Artist. Her album is certified platinum in a number of nations. Dua lipa was born 22nd August 1995, in London to Kosovo Albanian Anesa Rexha, and Dukagjin Lipa. She has Bosnian descent through her maternal grandmother. It is also possible to trace her ancestral roots in Peja within Kosovo. Her grandfathers were both historians. She has two siblings, Rina and Gjin. Lipa began to learn how to play the guitar and sing from her dad Oda. He is the lead singer/guitarist of Kosovan's rock group Oda. Her father played music at home, and included songs by David Bowie Bob Dylan Radiohead The Police Stereophonics. Lipa started to sing when she was only 5 years old. At the age of nine years old, she began to sing at her school, the Sylvia Young Theater School. Lipa performed Beautiful by Christina Aguilera and If I Ain't Got You by Alicia Keys on YouTube. Her record deal signed with Warner Bros. Records was announced in the year 2014. New Love was her debut single. New Love was released in August 2015.
